History & Renovation
37 Wolseley Street was built in the 1880's in Old Coley and originally formed part of a much longer street, which coupled with part of Brook Street West and the entirety of Coley Street were demolished to make way for the Inner Distribution Road (IDR) in the 1960's.

The house was originally constructed in a 2-up 2-down configuration with what could have been a coal shed and outdoor loo where the kitchen now stands, these two buildings were later replaced with a lean-to kitchen. During the 1970's the house was re-configured to be open-plan downstairs, at some stage a bathroom was also added to the rear of the property. The most recent renovations commenced in 2006 which included demolition of the lean-to and bathroom and returning the downstairs of the house to it's original Victorian layout, albeit with the stairs turned through 180 degrees.
Major works were finished in 2011, leaving the property as a brand new home inside a part-Victorian shell.
